About
pflag Edmonton is a 100% volunteer-run, community-supported organization dedicated to fostering a more accepting and loving world for 2SLGBTQ+ individuals and those who support them.
We believe that no one should have to navigate life alone. Every member of
our community deserves care, support, and understanding. As a peer support
organization, we provide guidance from lived experience, not professional
mental health training. While we are here to listen, uplift, and walk
alongside you, we recognize that some challenges require additional
support. When that happens, we will connect you with trusted professionals
who can offer specialized care.
We are also committed to education and resources for families seeking to
better support their loved ones—whether that means affirming a child
through their transition, helping them to understand and supporting their
journey with their gender identity or sexuality, or simply learning how to
be a stronger ally.
Our doors are open to all—without discrimination, judgment, or barriers.
There is no requirement to access support beyond a shared commitment to
trust, respect, and understanding. When you no longer need pflag, pflag needs
you. As a volunteer-led organization, we rely on the time, dedication, and
generosity of those who believe in our mission.
Our Alberta is an inclusive one. Together, we can create a world where everyone is embraced for who they are. You are not alone. We are here for you.
