Pflag Edmonton is reassessing our programming, as a result our Parents and Loved Ones meetings are on hiatus for the rest of April and May. As an alternative, we can offer a Zoom meeting or a coffee get together with the Co-Leads of the Parents and Loved Ones support group. What can I expect from a gathering?

All of our routine gatherings are held in a space with tables and chairs around the room. We have snacks, colouring, card games, and a resource table. We start each meeting with a land acknowledgement and then have various ice breakers whenever the group feels like it. For the most part, we have casual conversation and welcoming smiles to new faces!

Transgender

One of our best attended groups, the trans gatherings are for transgender, gender non-conforming, and nonbinary folks of ALL varieties to meet other people like them in the Edmonton area! A group for trans folk run by trans folk. Ages 18+

Parents & Family

A group run by parents/family of queer people, for parents/family of queer people. If you're still learning how best to be an ally, are struggling to adjust, would like to meet people with similar situations, or just need a supportive ear, these meetings are to support the supporters! Being an Ally is a constant effort and it can be scary when you're still learning how to be best at it. We don't judge and we are here to become the best queer allies with you! Ages 18+
